Apollo Medical acquires privately held Alpha Care for $45M

Apollo Medical Holdings Inc. completed the acquisition of Alpha Care Medical Group Inc. for $45 million in cash.

Alhambra, Calif.-based Apollo Medical said the deal will expand its capitated membership population base and its geographic footprint in Southern California.

On May 31, Apollo agreed to buy the capital stock of privately held Alpha Care, an independent practice association, from Kevin Tyson.

Apollo Medical is a population health management company that provides medical care services.
