Seylan BankPlc appointed Wadugamudalige Marius Ravindra Srilal Dias aschairman of the board, effective May 9.

Dias will replace Nihal Jayamanne, who is set to retire, effectiveMay 8, the bank said May 4. Dias is currently a nonexecutive director of thebank and was a managing director and CEO of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC.

Further, the bank's board approved the designation of MiriamCoralie Pietersz as senior director.
