Highmark Inc.reached an out-of-court settlement with its former CEO Kenneth Melani over Melani's termination in 2012, ThePittsburgh Tribune-Review reported March 29, citing court documents filed inAllegheny County Common Pleas Court that indicated the case was resolved.
Melani had filed a $32 million lawsuit against Highmark allegingwrongful termination, according to the report. Melani was terminated following afight with the husband of a woman he was allegedly having a relationship with.
The matter was resolved to the mutual satisfaction of both parties,the news outlet reported, citing an email from a spokesman for Highmark. The termsof the settlement were not disclosed, the news outlet said.
Melani reportedly told the news outlet that he runs a privateequity company in Pittsburgh.
