Cubico, Cypress Creek energize 100-MWdc solar farm in South Carolina

Cubico Sustainable Investments and Cypress Creek Renewables LLC have energized the 100-MWdc Palmetto Plains Solar Project in Orangeburg County, S.C.

Cypress Creek developed the project and will remain involved as provider of operations and maintenance services, according to an Aug. 21 news release.

According to S&P Global Market Intelligence data, Palmetto Plains has a power purchase agreement with Dominion Energy Inc. subsidiary Dominion Energy South Carolina Inc.

Cubico and Cypress Creek are also working together on the 100-MWdc Huntley Solar Project in Orangeburg County. The companies have recently secured project financing and have started construction of the project.

Cubico is a renewable energy investor backed by two of Canada's largest pension funds, Public Sector Pension Investment Board and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board.
