Pacific Gas and Electric Co. unveiled its new Center for Gas Safety and Innovation in Dublin, Calif., on Aug. 11.
Three departments will be working on methods and procedures, measurements and control test lab, and nondestructive examinations at the facility, the PG&E Corp. subsidiary said in a news release.
The new center is the second of three offices PG&E planned to enhance safety and reliability of operations, with the first opened in San Ramon in 2013. The third facility, Gas Safety Academy, is expected to open in September in Winters, Calif.
