Blackstone makes leadership changes in Asia-Pacific biz

BlackstoneGroup LP said April 5 that it made several promotions as part of anew leadership structure in its Asia-Pacific business.

Chris Heady, currently head of real estate for Asia, wasappointed as the group's chairman of Asia-Pacific. Jan Nielsen was named COOfor all of the company's businesses and administrative functions in Asia-Pacific.Nielsen currently leads the firm's private equity investing in Southeast Asia,Japan and South Korea and acts as COO for Blackstone Capital Partners in theregion.

Carol Kim, who is currently the ranking investor relationsprofessional in the Asia-Pacific region, was named firm-wide COO of investorrelations in the region.

Daisuke Kitta, currently head of the real estate group inJapan, was named head of Japan for all business and administrative functions,in addition to his existing regulatory responsibility for the office.Meanwhile, Susannah Lindenfield, currently head of international compliance,was named general counsel for Asia-Pacific, while continuing to overseecompliance in the region.

The company said that its new Asia-Pacific leadershipstructure aims to enhance management capabilities across the region.
