TanakaPrecious Metals unit Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo KK said July 12 that itis acquiring all shares of Swiss-based Metalor Technologies International SA, afellow precious metals producer.

The acquisition enable Tanaka Kikinzoku to expand itsrecovery and refining business into regions in North America, Europe and Asiawhere it has yet to establish a base and to accelerate sales of all of itsproducts and services to Metalor's blue-chip customers.

Terms of the deal were notdisclosed in the statement.
