Komehyo Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 was ¥47.52 per share, an increase of 31.2% from ¥36.22 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥520.6 million, a gain of 31.2% from ¥396.9 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 4.6% from 3.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 5.1% year over year to ¥11.38 billion from ¥10.83 billion, and total operating expenses grew on an annual basis to ¥10.56 billion from ¥10.19 billion.
Reported net income rose 36.5% on an annual basis to ¥546.0 million, or ¥49.83 per share, from ¥400.0 million, or ¥36.51 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥180.37 per share, an increase of 5.9% from ¥170.39 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥1.98 billion, a gain of 5.9% from ¥1.87 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose 7.4% from the prior-year period to ¥43.20 billion from ¥40.21 billion, and total operating expenses grew 7.7% on an annual basis to ¥40.07 billion from ¥37.21 billion.
The company said reported net income increased 11.2% year over year to ¥2.04 billion, or ¥186.19 per share, in the full year, from ¥1.83 billion, or ¥167.39 per share.
