Brazilian authorities seized several assets belonging to Claudio Oliveira, the owner of Bitcoin Banco Cryptocurrency, following a court order, Valor Econômico reported.
The order was related to a lawsuit filed by a group of clients that is reportedly owed 13 million reais by Oliveira's company. The clients are now pushing for his compliance with a payment agreement that was reached earlier.
Bitcoin Banco Cryptocurrency, also known as Grupo Bitcoin Banco, has been hit by roughly 100 lawsuits after blocking customers' access to their accounts for more than two months in the wake of an alleged 50 million Brazilian reais fraud.
The lawsuits could cost the company, which has 400,000 registered clients, more than 70 million reais, according to a previous report.
As of Aug. 16, US$1 was equivalent to 3.99 Brazilian reais.
