Report: Blackstone-backed Optiv Security planning IPO

Cybersecurity company Optiv Security LLC engaged Goldman SachsGroup Inc. and Morgan Stanley for an IPO that could come as early as the secondhalf of 2016, Bloomberg News reported April 13, citing "people with knowledgeof the plans."

Optiv Security, a BlackstoneGroup LP portfolio company, was createdthrough the 2015 merger of Blackstone-backed Accuvant and FishNet Security, according to the report.

The people told Bloomberg that a final decision has yet to bemade, and the timing of the IPO would be based on market volatility and investorappetite.

Respective representatives of Optiv Security, Goldman Sachs andBlackstone declined to comment, while Morgan Stanley representatives did not respondto a request to comment, Bloomberg said.
