Hammond Kennedy Whitney & Co. sells ProAct Services

Private equity firm Hammond Kennedy Whitney & Co. Inc. finalized the sale of ProAct Services Corp. to Evoqua Water Technologies Corp.

ProAct, which provides contaminated water treatment services in all 50 U.S. states, will keep its headquarters in Ludington, Mich., and will become an independent unit of Evoqua's industrial segment.

Pittsburgh-based Evoqua provides industrial, commercial and municipal water treatment solutions and services to more than 38,000 global customers. It operates 160 locations across eight countries, according to a July 26 release.
