Bancolombia names CFO; Republic Financial's chairman to quit at year-end

Oct. 1

* Banco Mercantil de Investimentos SA said Rodrigo Paim Fernandes stepped down as an executive director at the bank.

* Solunion Chile Seguros de Credito SA said Joerg-Üwe Lerch resigned from the company as a director. Carlos Molina Zaldívar was appointed to replace Lerch.

* Ohio National Seguros de Vida SA's Investment Manager Germán González Costabal and Technical and Product Manager Higinio Barría Pavicich both resigned from the company. Marcel González Jorquera will take over the investment management department, in addition to his duties as finance and administration manager.

* CF Seguros De Vida SA announced the appointment of Maximiliano Bulboa Denegri as deputy head of products.

Sept. 30

* Revolut Ltd. plans to increase its total headcount to about 5,000 by the summer of 2020 after signing a deal with Visa Inc. that will allow the British digital banking firm to expand into 24 new markets including Brazil.

* Caja de Compensación de Asignación Familiar de Los Andes said it is restructuring the existing RM channels and regional operations management units into two new departments. The first one, business and segments, will be led by Roberto Carter, while the new channels department will be overseen by Francisco Zañartu. Additionally, Fernando Araya Remagni resigned as the company's manager of corporate benefits and financial products and was replaced by Mabel Osses Soto.

Sept. 27

* Walter Bayly Llona stepped down as chairman of Peruvian pension fund administrator Prima AFP SA.

* Republic Financial Holdings Ltd. said Ronald Frederick deCreeft Harford will retire as chairman of the company and subsidiary Republic Bank Ltd. on Dec. 31.

* Bancolombia SA said Jaime Alberto Velasquez Botero decided to resign as the group's chief strategy and finance officer. Jose Humberto Acosta, who has been acting as Bancolombia's vice president of finance, will assume the CFO role once Velasquez's resignation takes effect, expected in January 2020. Additionally, the bank appointed Mauricio Rosillo Rojas, who has been serving as its chief legal officer and general counsel, to a newly created corporate vice president position, effective Oct. 1.

* Banco Inter SA said it appointed André Guilherme Cazzaniga Maciel to the bank's board of directors.

Sept. 26

* Paraguayan President Mario Abdo Benítez appointed Banco Nacional de Fomento Chairman Daniel Correa as an economic adviser.

* Principal Compañía de Seguros de Vida Chile SA said Gary Scholten and Horacio Morandé Contardo resigned from the company as director and deputy director, respectively. The company also announced the appointment of Hugo Lavados Montes to replace Scholten.

Sept. 25

* Fondo MIVIVIENDA SA said Hernan Barros Cruchaga and Alfredo Arcadio Lozada Bonilla resigned as directors.
