India's ErosInternational Media Ltd. will claim a 10% to 15% minority stake in theover-the-top platform Eros Now, Television Post reported July 12.
The move, which comes amid the development of new commercialterms with parent company ErosInternational Plc, will reportedly allow EIML to play a role in thevalue creation of Eros Now.
The OTT platform will either dilute its stake or prepare fora future IPO, the report added, citing an unnamed source.
EIML, which acquires, co-produces and distributes Indianfilms, will also transfer overseas rights to Eros International or itssubsidiaries, according to the report. The price will be equivalent to 40% ofthe production cost of each film with an additional mark-up of 20%. These newterms have been board-approved and will undergo regulation and compliancechecks before implementation.
