Daytona Q3 profit climbs YOY

Daytona Corp. said its third-quarter normalized net income amounted to ¥45.77 per share, an increase from ¥19.12 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥98.8 million, a gain from ¥40.5 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 6.3% from 2.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew on an annual basis to ¥1.58 billion from ¥1.55 billion, and total operating expenses decreased from the prior-year period to ¥1.42 billion from ¥1.48 billion.

Reported net income grew year over year to ¥108.7 million, or ¥50.40 per share, from ¥33.4 million, or ¥15.75 per share.
