BCL Industries Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 came to 10.6 million rupees, an increase of 35.9% from 7.8 million rupees in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 0.7% from 0.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 20.3% on an annual basis to 1.47 billion rupees from 1.22 billion rupees, and total operating expenses climbed 21.1% year over year to 1.42 billion rupees from 1.17 billion rupees.
Reported net income totaled 14.5 million rupees, compared with 10.5 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
As of Aug. 26, US$1 was equivalent to 60.38 Indian rupees.
