Brazil truckers' strike prompts AMG to shut down some tantalum operations

AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group NV said May 29 that it has temporarily shut down certain tantalum mining and processing operations in Brazil due to the ongoing national truckers' strike.

The company does not expect a material financial impact from the strike at this stage.

Additionally, AMG noted that the industrial action is not expected to impact the ongoing commissioning of its first lithium concentrate processing plant at the Mibra mine in Minas Gerais state.
