Startup offers new measurement service for direct-to-consumer platforms

A Seattle-based startup unveiled a tool to measure and predict video customer usage and growth for direct-to-consumer subscription services.

Wicket Labs' new Wicket Scorecard will allow media companies to see various metrics including customer counts by month and product, conversions to subscribers on a daily basis, lost customers by method of loss and engagement metrics that measure number of series and days of watching activity.

Wicket Labs received $2 million in seed financing from Madrona Venture Group LLC, Divergent Ventures LLC and angels.

Wicket Labs was founded by Marty Roberts and Ian Blaine, who serve as the company's CEO and chief strategy officer, respectively. Previously, Blaine founded thePlatform, which was acquired by Comcast Corp. in 2006.
