Dolly Varden discovers new zone at namesake silver project

Dolly Varden Silver Corp. said Aug. 14 that it discovered a new zone at its Dolly Varden silver project in British Columbia as part of the company's ongoing exploration program.

The new zone is located 200 meters north of the Torbrit deposit, and highlights from drilling include 32.30 meters at 166.6 g/t of silver, 0.21% lead and 0.20% zinc from 466.10 meters, including a 16.10-meter subinterval at 269.0 g/t of silver, 0.30% lead and 0.21% zinc from 481.30 meters.

According to the company, the discovery may represent a deeper offset, or parallel deposit.

The company planned to drill more than 5,000 meters in about 25 to 35 holes previously under its exploration program, but it is now considering an expansion to about 12,000 meters following this discovery.
