Eurus Energy reaches financial close on 3 Dutch wind farms

Eurus Energy Europe B.V. and YARD ENERGY Group B.V. have reached the financial close for the construction of three wind farms in the province of Groningen, Netherlands, with a combined capacity of 155 MW.

The Mauve wind facility will consist of seven wind turbines, and the Mondriaan wind farm will host nine wind turbines. Both will be near the port of Delfzijl, according to an Oct. 1 release by Eurus Energy. Both power plants will be financed by Rabobank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp.

The Vermeer wind farm will comprise 20 turbines and will be approximately 20 kilometers south of the other facilities. ABN AMRO Bank and BNG Bank are financing the construction of the facility.

Eurus Energy acquired the power plants from YARD Energy before the financial close. YARD Energy, a private onshore wind developer headquartered in the Netherlands, will retain a minority stake in the wind farms. The output of all three wind farms will be sold to Dutch power generator Eneco Groep NV.

Eurus Energy is owned by Toyota Tsusho Corp.
