Access National Corp. delays 10-Q filing

Access National Corp. was unable to file its Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30 by Aug. 9 but expects to do so within the five-calendar-day extension period.

The Reston, Va.-based company attributed the delay to its not having received all the information necessary for completion of the notes to consolidated financial statements from a third-party vendor. The third-party vendor was retained for the accounting in relation to the company's acquisition of Middleburg, Va.-based Middleburg Financial Corp. In particular, the vendor has not yet furnished the company with all the information regarding discounted cash flows of loans acquired in the transaction that are needed to complete the loans' fair value accounting.
