Taiwan's receivedregulatory approval to open a branch in the Philippines, the Taipei Times reported April 8, citing thebank.

The bank plansto open the branch in Manila by the end of 2016 after receiving approval from Taiwan'sFinancial Supervisory Commission, the bank said in an April 7 statement.
