The Greek government could raise the limit of cash withdrawn from back accounts per month by at least 74%, Reuters reported, citing Greek newspaper Kathimerini.
From June, an individual may be allowed to withdraw between €4,000 and €5,000 in cash per month, up from €2,300 at present, the report said. The move had been agreed with the country's EU/IMF creditors, it added.
A source close to the matter told the newswire that there were deliberations on the issue, though a finance ministry official said there was no final decision yet. Greece first imposed capital control limits in 2015 amid a debt crisis, which led to its third financial bailout since 2010, Reuters noted.
The government also raised the monthly withdrawal limit by 28% in February, the report added.
