JC Comsa Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was ¥8.23 per share, a decrease of 40.0% from ¥13.71 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥67.5 million, a decrease of 40.0% from ¥112.5 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 1.6% from 2.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue totaled ¥4.25 billion, compared with ¥4.25 billion in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses came to ¥4.08 billion, compared with ¥4.05 billion in the prior-year period.
Reported net income declined 71.6% from the prior-year period to ¥21.0 million, or ¥2.56 per share, from ¥74.0 million, or ¥9.02 per share.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
