subsidiary Hawaiian Electric Co. Inc. has named Jim Kelly as vicepresident for corporate relations, effective Oct. 3.

He replacesLynne Unemori, who is retiring after 31 years at the company, according to anOct. 4 company release.

Kelly willmanage the company's corporate communications, customer communications andresearch and online communications divisions.

Kellyjoined Hawaiian Electric from Kauai Island Utility Cooperative, where he served asmanager of member services and communications.
