Report: Hackers targeted 2.5 million PlayStation, Xbox players' accounts

Hackers targeted 2.5 million accounts of Sony Corp.'s PlayStation and Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox players in 2015, The Daily Telegraph (London) reported Feb. 1.

The information, which included details such as email addresses, passwords and IP addresses, was stolen from forums called Xbox360 ISO and PSP ISO.

The forums allow players to share and download free and pirated copies of games, according to the report.
