Italian retail trade continues to slide in August

Italian retail sales, in terms of value, were down 0.3% in August month over month after a 0.2% decline in July, the National Institute of Statistics said.

Year over year, the retail sales value slipped 0.5% after noting zero annual change in the month before.

In volume terms, retail trade decreased by 0.4% in August over the previous month and fell 1.0% annually.
