Anil Goteti, the head of Flipkart India Pte. Ltd.'s marketplace and retail product and operations team, has been tapped to lead eBay India Pvt. Ltd., The Economic Times (India) reported, citing an internal email by Flipkart.

EBay India's current country manager Vidmay Naini will be reporting to Goteti, according to the report.

According to Flipkart, eBay.in will remain an independent entity as part of the company.

Meanwhile, eBay Inc. will not be reporting active buyer, gross merchandise volume and other related financials for eBay India, although Naini will still manage eBay India's relationship with eBay Global.

The Indian online marketplace recently completed its acquisition of eBay India, which it now operates.
