Duke Renewables acquires 200-MW Texas project from Canadian Solar

Duke Energy Renewables LLC acquired the 200-MW Rambler solar project in Tom Green County, Texas, from Recurrent Energy LLC.

The project is Duke Energy Renewables's fifth acquisition in 2019 and will be fourth solar generation facility in Texas.

The Duke Energy Corp. subsidiary will provide long-term operations and maintenance services to the project, according to a Sept. 11 release. Rambler is expected to begin commercial operation in mid-2020.

Recurrent's parent company, Canadian Solar Inc., expects to recognize the majority of revenue from the sale of the project in the third quarter of 2019.
