Achmea BV namedMichel Lamie to its executive board with effect from Jan. 1, 2017, with a viewto his becoming CFO in April the same year.

Lamie will succeed Huub Arendse, who will step down April 1, 2017, followingthe annual general meeting. Lamie's appointment has been approved by .

Lamie has served since 2009 as executive board chairman of Dutch insurer DeGoudse Verzekeringen, having joined the company in 2005. He worked for Achmeabetween 2002 and 2005, most recently as group director for finance and control.

He has also served since 2009 as chairman of the supervisory board at VanLanschot Chabot, an insurance brokerage.
