Chubb projects $390M in pretax cat losses for Q2

ChubbLtd. estimates that its pretax losses from natural catastrophes in the secondquarter, net of reinsurance and including reinstatement premiums, will be $390 million.

The estimate includes $320 million of losses fromnatural catastrophes in North America and $70 million of losses from events outsideNorth America.

After tax, catastrophe losses are estimated to be$315 million.
