Sunverge raises $11M to expand distributed energy platform

Sunverge Energy Inc. raised $11 million in capital to help build utility-grade distributed energy resilience in new geographies.

The funding round was led by Ecosystem Integrity Fund, with participation from Equinor Energy Ventures and Evergy Ventures, according to an Aug. 7 news release.

Sunverge plans to use proceeds to expand and evolve its energy platform that is designed to help utilities to integrate distributed energy resources into core utility planning and operations.

Stockton, Calif.-headquartered Sunverge provides integrated solar solutions for distributed generation and storage.
