Bharti Airtel Ltd. said May 18 that it has signed a strategic partnership with Amazon.com Inc.'s Indian affiliate, Amazon Seller Services Pte. Ltd., to drive smartphone adoption in the country.

The companies will introduce an affordable range of 4G-ready devices, allowing existing smartphone users to upgrade to a 4G handset and grow the number of first-time users of such devices.

Nearly 65 devices sold on Amazon.in will offer cashback on purchases from Bharti Airtel, disbursed over 36 months.
