Comcast Corp.has extended usage caps to its Chicago market, according to a July 8 report by DSLReports.
Comcast users in Chicago reportedly received a memo announcingusage caps will be effective starting Aug. 1. After the date, subscriptions willbe capped at 1 terabyte, with subscribers either having to pay $50 more each monthfor unlimited broadband connections, or $10 for each 50 GB extra, the report said.
An FAQ posted by the company indicated the data cap is also beingextended to Central Illinois, Quincy and Rockford, Ill., as well as parts of NorthernIndiana and Southwest Michigan, DSLReports noted.
