Core Exploration Ltd. said Sept. 23 that drilling has confirmed its Finniss project in Australia's Northern Territory as a major new lithium pegmatite field.
Highlights from the first four drill holes at the project's BP33 prospect yielded multiple broad zones of high-grade mineralization, including 34 meters at 1.60% lithium oxide and 14 meters at 1.42% lithium oxide.
The company noted that significant spodumene mineralization has been observed at other prospects as part of its initial drilling campaign, with assay results pending.
