O.C.C. PCL Q4 profit climbs 5.3% YOY

O.C.C. Public Company Ltd said its fourth-quarter normalized net income came to 38 satang per share, a gain of 5.3% from 36 satang per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 22.5 million baht, an increase of 5.3% from 21.4 million baht in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 6.1% from 5.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue totaled 369.9 million baht, compared with 368.8 million baht in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses came to 355.9 million baht, compared with 353.0 million baht in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income increased year over year to 28.7 million baht, or 48 satang per share, from 27.9 million baht, or 47 satang per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 1.07 baht per share, a decrease of 12.5% from 1.22 baht per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 64.3 million baht, a fall of 12.5% from 73.5 million baht in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue fell on an annual basis to 1.40 billion baht from 1.42 billion baht, and total operating expenses came to 1.35 billion baht, compared with 1.34 billion baht in the year-earlier period.

The company said reported net income declined 13.2% year over year to 82.9 million baht, or 1.38 baht per share, in the full year, from 95.5 million baht, or 1.59 baht per share.

As of Feb. 25, US$1 was equivalent to 35.66 baht.
