Hunya Foods Q3 profit falls YOY

Hunya Foods Co. Ltd. said its third-quarter normalized net income amounted to 7 Taiwan cents per share, a decline of 13.4% from 8 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$7.4 million, a decline of 13.4% from NT$8.6 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 1.3% from 1.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 8.7% on an annual basis to NT$567.6 million from NT$621.5 million, and total operating expenses decreased 8.3% on an annual basis to NT$558.6 million from NT$609.2 million.

Reported net income fell 12.7% year over year to NT$10.0 million, or 9 cents per share, from NT$11.5 million, or 11 cents per share.
