Uoki fiscal Q2 loss widens 88.9% YOY

Uoki Co.Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Aug. 31 amounted to a loss of ¥8.32 per share, compared with a loss of ¥4.41 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥21.3 million, compared with a loss of ¥11.3 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin fell to negative 0.7% from negative 0.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue totaled ¥3.19 billion, compared with ¥3.22 billion in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses came to ¥3.23 billion, compared with ¥3.24 billion in the prior-year period.

Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥39.0 million, or a loss of ¥15.27 per share, compared to a loss of ¥31.0 million, or a loss of ¥12.14 per share, in the prior-year period.

As of Oct. 15, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.46.
