Report: Deutsche Börse to retain key ops in Germany after LSE merger

Deutsche BörseAG CEO Carsten Kengeter said the stock exchange operator intends tokeep Eurex ClearingAG and ClearstreamBanking AG based in Frankfurt after the group's planned merger with London Stock Exchange Group Plc, Reuters reported May 3.

Kengeter reportedly told a conference the same day thatDeutsche Börse's derivatives trading and settlement businesses "will remain centralstructures" while retaining their base in the eurozone.

The CEO also anticipates an increase in the number oflistings on Frankfurt's stock exchange following the planned merger, thenewswire noted. "Creating direct access to capital from London willpromote and stimulate IPOs in Frankfurt," he added.
