Equinor closes acquisition of stake in Polish offshore wind farm

Norwegian energy major Equinor ASA has wrapped its purchase of a 50% stake in the Bałtyk I project in the Baltic Sea from Polish utility Polenergia SA.

Equinor now holds ownership stake in all three Bałtyk offshore wind development projects, according to a Dec. 10 company news release.

The project has a license for up to 1,560 MW of capacity. Equinor will manage the construction preparation and the potential construction and operational phases of the project.
