Technical problems bog down Norwegian offshore oil, gas production in February

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate reported March 15 that average production of oil, NGLs and condensate for February totaled 1.75 million barrels per day, down from 1.82 million bbl/d in January, owing to technical problems at some fields.

Oil production in February averaged 1.39 million bbl/d, down from 1.46 million bbl/d in January and 3.6% lower than the directorate's forecast.

Average NGL production came in at 328,000 bbl/d, down from 333,000 bbl/d in January. Condensate production averaged 30,000 bbl/d in February, up from 28,000 bbl/d in January.
