Copper Mountain's 9-month output ahead of guidance

Copper Mountain Mining Corp. produced 22 million pounds of copper, 8,170 ounces of gold and 81,540 ounces of silver during the third quarter from its namesake Copper Mountain mine in British Columbia.

Production for the nine months totaled 62 million pounds of copper, while gold and silver output totaled 23,800 ounces and 220,850 ounces, respectively, slightly ahead of its annual guidance.

Meanwhile, the company noted in an Oct. 6 statement that it is on track to meet its annual production guidance.

During the quarter, mining activities continued from the Pit 2, Saddle and Virginia Pit areas, while open pit mining averaged 173,100 tonnes per day. This brings the average mining rate 7% ahead of plan at 187,200 tonnes per day.

Additionally, the company noted that gold and silver output contributed over 20% of the mine revenue.

In January, the company said that it expects higher copper output of 80 million pounds this year from its namesake mine.
