United Commercial Bank managing director resigns

A.E. Abdul Muhaimen resigned as managing director of Bangladesh-based United Commercial Bank Ltd., The Daily Star reported Aug. 30, citing an official from the lender.

Muhaimen resigned from the role for personal reasons, the official said. The resignation will come into effect following the completion of Muhaimen's one-month leave.

Arif Quadri, additional managing director at the bank, was named acting managing director.
