Sunstone Partners closed its purchases of Terra Verde Security LLC, Trushield Security Solutions Inc. and Sword & Shield Enterprise Security Inc.

The three cybersecurity services firms were merged to form Avertium, which will focus on backing midsize-to-large enterprises.

The new entity, which will be led by security industry veteran Jeff Schmidt, will grow its business by expanding its operations, among other plans.
