Brookfield Asset Management Inc. affiliate BPG Acquisitions aims to build a logistics center totaling about 1.4 million square feet in Bartow County, Ga., the Atlanta Business Chronicle reported, citing a state filing.

The planned $75 million project, known as Emerson Logistics, would cover 130 acres along the Joe Frank Harris Parkway, according to the report.

The project, which is expected to be completed by 2022, will need to undergo rezoning and is subject to approval of the state's development of regional impact program, the report added.

Brookfield did not comment on the planned development, the publication added.
