Arcs Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Aug. 31 was ¥46.81 per share, an increase of 11.1% from ¥42.14 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥2.57 billion, a gain of 10.9% from ¥2.32 billion in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 2.2% from 2.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue came to ¥115.79 billion, compared with ¥116.80 billion in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses fell year over year to ¥112.02 billion from ¥113.41 billion.
Reported net income rose 66.7% year over year to ¥2.30 billion, or ¥41.93 per share, from ¥1.38 billion, or ¥25.12 per share.
As of Oct. 15, US$1 was equivalent to ¥106.21.
