Live Nation Entertainment Inc. is setting up a new electronic music division in Asia.

Called Live Nation Electronic Asia, the new venture will offer event production and promotion services to meet an increased demand for electronic dance music in the region, the company said Aug. 10.

The company named Hong Kong-based independent promoter Jim Wong managing director of the new division.
