Hulu with Live TV, YouTube TV subs get Cheddar access

Subscribers of Hulu LLC's Hulu with Live TV service and Google LLC's YouTube TV can now access news networks provider Cheddar Inc.'s live and on-demand programming at no additional charge via the Cheddar website, mobile and TV apps.

Cheddar will use Synacor Inc.'s Cloud ID cloud-based identity management platform to speed authentication integrations with virtual multichannel video programming distributors and MVPDs, according to an Oct. 4 news release. Synacor's identity platform allows content providers to authenticate against distributor billing systems as well as direct to consumer authentications.

Synacor is a technology development, multiplatform services and revenue partner for video, internet and communications providers, device manufacturers, governments and enterprises.

Google is owned by Alphabet Inc. Hulu's owners include Walt Disney Co., 21st Century Fox Inc., Comcast Corp.'s NBCUniversal Media LLC and AT&T Inc.'s WarnerMedia.
