CheniereEnergy Inc. reported a first-quarter net loss attributable tocommon stockholders of $320.8 million, or $1.41 per share, compared to a lossof $267.7 million, or $1.18 per share, during the year-ago period.
The S&P Capital IQ consensus GAAP EPS estimate was aloss of 52 cents, with three analysts contributing. Special items for the mostrecent period amounted to $192.6 million, compared to $215.9 million a yearearlier.
Cheniere also posted total revenues of $69.1 million,compared to $68.4 million, during the same period in 2015. The company posted aloss from operations of $90.6 million, compared to $60.2 million during theprior-year period.
The company's declared results for the quarter wereconsolidated to include the company's ownership interest in , which isbased on Cheniere's full ownership of the general partner of Cheniere EnergyPartners and an 80.1% ownership interest in Cheniere Energy Partners LP Holdings LLC.
