Report: Paramount CEO could exit movie studio

Sources said Brad Grey, chairman and CEO of 's Paramount Pictures,could be next in line to exit the company, but Viacom has expressed fullconfidence in the executive, the New YorkPost reported Sept. 27.

The exit rumors follow news that Paramount Pictures ViceChairman Rob Moore is leaving the company. According to multiple sources,Grey's position at the studio reportedly has become tenuous and former 20thCentury Fox head Jim Gianopulos, former Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. Co-chair Rob Friedman,and DreamWorks AnimationLLC CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg were among executives being consideredfor the job.

However, Viacom interim CEO has expressed full confidencein Grey's running of the movie studio. A source said that Viacom's primaryfocus right now is finding a replacement for Dooley, who is set to step down inNovember. Robert Bakish, head ofViacom's international business, reportedly is the leading candidate for theViacom CEO role.
