Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA appointed Alfonso Faubel as CEO of its onshore business, effective July 29.

Faubel will replace Mark Albenze, who will continue to serve as CEO of the company's service business unit. Albenze temporarily assumed the CEO role at the onshore business, according to a company news release.

With three decades of experience in the energy and automotive industries, Faubel most recently served Sentient Science as chief revenue officer of energy and president of Europe.
